DAB radio (Digital Audio Broadcasting)

Compared to FM radios, DAB radios offer several benefits. DAB digital radios were developed and launched in Europe in the late 1980s. They transmit radio signals digitally, resulting in better sound quality. In addition, DAB radios offer an increased choice, as more radio stations can be transmitted on a single frequency. DAB radios are less prone to failure and suffer less static noise than FM radios. At the same time, they offer more interactive options, as they can receive not only audio, but text, images or even videos also.
DAB+ technology and Bluetooth features
A digital radio with DAB+ technology and Bluetooth is a radio that can receive both digital radio stations and analog radio stations (FM). DAB+ is a technology that provides better sound quality as well as a greater number of radio stations to choose from as it streams from the internet via Wi-Fi rather than using traditional radio waves for transmission. This enables the operation of a radio station to be both cheaper and more energy efficient therefore allowing smaller stations to compete with the mainstream ones. Last but not least – digital transmission means you either receive a programme or you don’t – there is no in-between and therefore no static noise.
The Bluetooth feature lets users link the radio to other devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptops in order to play music via the radio without the need for a cable.

Compact DAB+ devices with Bluetooth and alarm features, can also be used as DAB+ radio alarms.
Compact, battery-operated Bluetooth digital radios are available for mobile use – they are sometimes known as outdoor speakers or outdoor radios.

Most DAB radios, mobile/outdoor speakers and DAB+ radio alarms use integrated Lithium-Ion Polymer and Lithium-Ion Rechargeable batteries.

Should your device begin to work less efficiently or need charging more and more often working for less and less time between charges then it is probably time to replace you power cell.
